About Me

Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer, I was born and raised in South Australia, I lived all my childhood and teenage years in the city suburbs, moving to the Adelaide hills as a young adult. I started on just under two acres in Stirling and 20 years on, I’m living on 42 acres in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.

Both my kids have enjoyed growing up in a rural environment, we’ve learned together what it means to be living self sufficient and how to manage a large property with animals. We know all about the hard work it takes to make it work and also the awesome rewards it can bring.

When I purchased this property in 2016 it was a completely blank canvas, so I’ve had the opportunity to design and build everything that’s on here, from the paddocks and roads to the off grid solar system and rainwater catchment and of course the tiny house and tiny sheds!

It’s not always been an easy ride, in fact I’ve made tonnes of mistakes and many tears have been shed! But I’ve learned so much and I hope this blog can help you if you find yourself on a similar journey either living tiny or living self sufficient or both!

I’m very proud of everything that’s been achieved on my little farm so far and I’m so excited to share it with you all!
